Mcdan pays Ghana tennis Federation Debt

Daniel McKorley, CEO of Mcdan Group of Companies has come to the rescue of Ghana Tennis Federation preventing them from being banned by International Tennis Federation (ITF) after settling GTF’s year’ affiliation debt to the governing body of world Tennis.

It will be recalled that in 2013, Mr. Daniel McKorley paid an amount of $10, 000 to Ghana Tennis Federation when it owed affiliation fees. The GTF was once again this year facing expulsion from the ITF after failing to pay outstanding affiliation fees amounting to $17,378 which accrued between 2015 and 2018.

Presenting a cheque to settle the outstanding sum to the GTF on Thursday at his residence in Accra, Mr McKorley said the ban would have chalked Ghana Tennis over the past five years.
Mr. McKorley added that, donation to Ghana Tennis Federation is over and it’s time to see results and it’s time Ghana gets a world ranked player’. Tennisgh.com can recall that on 25th August 2016 Mr. Daniel McKorley made similar submission http://www.tennisgh.com/mcdan-challenges-ghana-tennis/

“Ghana tennis has come a long way and it is sad to be banned from the ITF; whatever we start we finish as McDan, that is why we continue to support Ghana tennis,” Mr.  McKorley stressed.
Mr. Mckorley added that, “We have talents in this country and it depends on how we will handle these talents. Tennis is a game of love and it is a game that takes a lot of kids off the streets and this is our Corporate Social Responsibility”.

The President of the GTF, Isaac Aboagye Duah, expressed gratitude to Mr McKorley and assured that his outfit had introduced a membership card which will be used to pay affiliation fees in the future.
“The membership card is GHC 5 for junior players per card and GHC 20 for pro membership but for socials we have GHC 500 for Platinum Membership, GHC 200 for Gold Membership, GHC100 for Silver Membership and GHC50 for Bronze Membership and there are benefits you can derive from it including discounts at certain shops on tennis equipment and apparels at certain stores across the country’.
