Former Tennis Stars and Ismailia Sponsor Tour 4

ALL is now set for the  2018 National Ranking Tour 4 scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Courts from Monday 9th July to 13th July 2018.

After a successful hosting of the 2018 National Ranking Tour 3 sponsored by five former tennis players (Roger Crawford, Isaac Nunoo, Nii Dodoo,Victor Steiner and Isaac tetteh Quaye), the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF), on Monday 9th of July 2018 will begin the 2018 National Ranking Tour 4 which is also sponsored by Ismailia Lamptey Babolat sole agent in Ghana and four former tennis players led by Roger Crawford, President of Tennis Foundation Ghana and  The Mohammed siblings (Yakubu Mohammed, Alima Mohammed and Salifu Mohammed) who are all currently based in the US.

In an interview granted ghanatennis.org Via Skype, C.E.O. of Tennis Foundation Ghana, Mr. Roger Crawford said he was excited about the collaboration between Tennis Foundation Ghana and The Ghana Tennis Federation in spearheading the revival of Tennis in the country.

And also speaking to Mr Ismailia Lamptey on what motivated him to join other former players to sponsor the Tournament, He said "the desire to see Ghana tennis back to ATP circuit and Davis Cup”.

Tournament Supervisor, Yakubu Abubakari-Lea, praised Ismailia Lamptey and the former players for keeping faith in sponsoring the National Ranking Tour.

Mr. Yakubu added that this National Ranking Tour is very important because it boosts the players GTF/ TPG points.

    Patients of the Orthopedic Training Center (OTC) at Nsawam were not left out the Christmas holiday celebrations as Former Tennis Star George Darko donated items to them on Tuesday.   The foundation which was established by Ghana's tennis star based in the US, George Darko presented food items, toiletries, water and other valuable items to the OTC. 1st edition of Hope Performance Tennis Tourney ends in style

The very first edition of the Tennis Clinic and Tournament organized by the Hope Tennis Foundation successfully ended at the tennis court of the Accra Sports stadium over the weekend with winners in different age categories. The initiative, which is to train young tennis players under 16 years began on Wednesday with a tennis clinic and saw about 500 children from 11 clubs participating. The children, aged between 8 and 16 were taken through the basics of the game for 2 days before the competition started on Friday, September 7, 2018. The event, which was organised by the Hope Tennis Club with the collaborative effort of the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF), Tennis Foundation Ghana (TFG) saw Stadium B, emerging winners of the U-12 category. Baboo Academy placed 2nd whiles St Francis Foundation occupied the 3rd spot. McDan Nextgen Begins Training

Ten junior Tennis Players selected from the last year Mcdan Open championship have begun Non-Residential weekly camp at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Courts. The program, intended to prepare the juvenile players for future international tournament, was put together by the Ghana tennis Federation which was sponsored by Mr. Daniel Mckorley, C.E.O of Mcdan Shipping and logistics. The junior players includs: Winneba duo Lameck Bagerbaseh and Raphael Ankrah and St. Francis Academy in Ashaiman, trio Kenneth Adzokatse, Michael Dosoo and Amos Asante. The rest are Richard Okine and Ishmael Dowuna also from Stadium Tennis Club and Desmond Ayaaba from BabooSports Academy, Tema and Atomic Tennis Club’s Yakubu Abubakir-Lea.
